Name of Committee:
The name of this committee shall be the Elections Committee.
Purpose of Committee:
The purpose of this committee shall be:
A. To recommend to the Executive Board the guidelines under which the LKNEA elections are conducted.
B. To conduct all elections and voting processes of LKNEA.
a. These shall consist of the Fall election for DA Delegates, the Spring election for Board members, Negotiated Agreement ratification votes, and any special elections.
Chairperson Responsibilities:
The Chairperson of this committee shall oversee voting processes and elections of LKNEA, within the guidelines of the Election Procedure recommended by this committee and adopted by the Executive Board. The Chairperson shall recruit members for the committee. The Chairperson shall report committee activities to the President on a regular basis.
Committee Responsibilities:
This committee shall conduct all elections and voting procedures of LKNEA.
Membership:
This committee shall consist of the LKNEA Vice President, who shall act as Chairperson, and additional members, evenly divided among the ESP and Certified membership, representing the largest variety of members possible. Members shall be appointed by the President upon the recommendation of the Chairperson.
The President shall be an ex officio member of the committee.
Meeting Times:
This committee shall meet at least twice a year:
Once in the Fall before the DA Delegate election, and
Once in the Spring before the Executive Board election.
This committee shall also meet prior to any other election or voting process.

The Vice President shall inform the President of the results. The results shall be certified at the next regular Executive Board meeting.
