Name of Committee:
The name of this committee shall be the Insurance Committee.
Purpose of Committee:
The purpose of this committee shall be to monitor the health insurance policy of the District and to respond to concerns about health insurance.
Chairperson Responsibilities:
The Chairperson of this committee shall oversee all activities of the committee. They shall recruit members of the committee. The Chairperson shall report committee activities to the President on a regular basis.
Committee Responsibilities:
This committee shall:
A. Provide annual training on health insurance via a monthly video conference.
B. Monitor the health insurance policy for changes.
C. Communicate with members and the District concerning issues relating to insurance.
D. Other assignments as directed by the Executive Board
Membership:
This committee shall consist of a Chairperson and additional members, evenly divided among the 2 bargaining units. Members will be appointed by the President upon the recommendation of the Chairperson.
The President shall be an ex officio member of the committee.
Meeting Times:
This committee shall meet as necessary.
