Name of Committee:
The name of this committee shall be the Travel Committee.
Purpose of Committee:
The purpose of this committee shall be to oversee all travel for all LKNEA events and LKNEA supported activities.
Chairperson Responsibilities:
The Chairperson of this committee shall oversee all activities of the committee. They shall recruit members of the committee. The Chairperson shall report committee activities to the President on a regular basis.
Committee Responsibilities:
This committee shall:
A. Oversee travel reservations and purchases
B. Help with accommodations reservations and purchases
C. Help with arrangement of travel to and from airports, hotels and event locations
D. Help resolve any travel related issues while a member is in the process of traveling on LKNEA business
E. Encourage participation in LKNEA, NEA-Alaska and NEA events
Membership:
This committee shall consist of the Chairperson, and 3-5 members, appointed by the President upon the recommendation of the Chairperson.
The President shall be an ex officio member of the committee.
Meeting Times:
This committee shall meet as necessary.
Deadlines:
Shall make sure all travel arrangements are made as necessary prior to an event requiring travel.
